Sunvivae 30A MPPT Solar Charge Controller, 12V/24V Auto, 390W/780W with LCD & Dual USB
Smarter Solar Charging for 12V & 24V Systems
The Sunvivae 30A MPPT solar charge controller automatically recognizes 12V or 24V battery systems and intelligently tracks available solar power for dependable off-grid charging.
Harvest More Available Solar Energy
Fast maximum-power-point tracking responds to changing solar conditions, with tracking efficiency of at least 99.5% and maximum conversion efficiency up to 97%.
Powerful Capacity, Clear Limits
Designed for RVs, cabins, boats and other off-grid battery systems when installed indoors in a dry, ventilated location.
Up to 390W PV
For an automatically detected 12V battery system. Keep the array open-circuit voltage below 75V.
Up to 780W PV
For an automatically detected 24V battery system. Confirm all system components are correctly rated.
Controlled DC Load
The dedicated LOAD output is rated at 20A for compatible DC loads—not for an inverter.
One Controller for Multiple Battery Types
Select the correct charging profile for your battery chemistry and follow the battery manufacturer’s voltage requirements.
- Flooded lead-acid batteries
- AGM and GEL batteries
- LiFePO4 and supported lithium batteries
- User-defined charging parameters for compatible custom profiles
- 8–32V supported battery-voltage range
Four Ways to Control Compatible DC Loads
Choose manual operation, sunset-to-sunrise control, timed night operation or reverse light control to match your application.

PV ratings are absolute system limits, not recommended targets. Array output varies with sunlight, temperature, wiring and panel orientation.
Battery First. Solar Second.
Use appropriately rated breakers or disconnects and keep them open while wiring.
Connect the Battery
Verify polarity and battery voltage, connect the battery to the controller, then close the battery breaker so the controller powers on and detects system voltage.
Connect the PV Array
Confirm array Voc remains below 75V under the coldest expected conditions. Connect PV wiring, then close the PV breaker.
Connect a DC Load
If required, connect a compatible DC load within the 20A output rating. Connect an inverter directly to the battery with its own protection.
Essential Safety Notes
- Never connect the solar panels before the battery.
- Never connect an inverter to the controller’s LOAD terminals.
- Never exceed the controller’s voltage, current or power ratings.
- Install indoors in a dry, ventilated location; IP30 provides no water protection.
- Use correctly sized cable, fuses and breakers. Installation by a qualified person is recommended.
Before You Connect
Will it automatically recognize 12V and 24V systems?
Yes. Connect the battery first so the controller can power on and detect the system voltage before the PV array is connected.
Can I use lead-acid and lithium batteries?
It supports suitable lead-acid and lithium profiles, including Flooded, AGM, GEL and LiFePO4. Always select the correct battery type and verify charging voltages with the battery manufacturer.
Can I connect a 75V solar array?
No. The array open-circuit voltage must remain below 75V, including the voltage increase that occurs in cold weather. Leave an appropriate safety margin.
Can I connect an inverter to the LOAD output?
No. An inverter must connect directly to the battery through properly sized cables and dedicated overcurrent protection. The controller’s LOAD output is for compatible DC loads up to its 20A rating.
Can this controller be installed outside?
No. Its IP30 protection class has no water-protection rating. Install it indoors in a dry, ventilated location with adequate clearance for heat dissipation.
Why can charging behavior change near the high-voltage disconnect point?
The controller may limit voltage using PWM behavior near the high-voltage disconnect point to protect the battery. This is part of its protective control strategy.
